This is so great! Love your journaling! And you have to read the Harry Potter books...they are so great!! The ticket stub is the perfect touch on here and I love the pictures!
I enjoyed your journaling so much. You really made me smile in places and I just plain appreciated the way you appreciate your life, all the small things and bigger ones too. The wonderful relationship you have with your family, esp your mom, really comes through. I am so glad you are documenting this. It will be really wonderful to look pack on these project 2011 layouts. You captured ordinary life in a way that's just extraordinary. Love your design and pics too. Every time I see these monthly pages of yours, I think: I really need to do that!
My July page for Project 2011. For this layout, I used papers from K&Co.'s "Around the World" line. I made the puzzle piece by taking a plain white puzzle piece and covering it with a piece of pp. The cloud was hand cut and pop-dotted. The little sun piece came from an embellie pack that goes with the paper (hm, I just realized that it looks like an ant crawled on there right as I took the picture- sneaky little bugger). Journaling reads:
"July 1- Mama & I completed a 1,000 piece puzzle...in ONE day! July 3- BBQ @ Joshua's house for the 4th July 5- Mama & I started our road trip. Two days in Pensacola scrapping, swimming & shopping. July 8- Bid farewell to Pensacola & decided on a whim to drive down the coast from Pensacola to Destin, stopping at Navarre Beach & Fort Walton on the way. Then headed north for Alabama, taking only back roads, no interstate. No GPS either, just a road map. Drove through so many cute little towns & spent the night in Eufaula, AL. July 9- Explored the beautiful little town of Eufaula. Hit up the local Goody's & decided several hundred $$$ later that we best bid adieu to Eufaula. Hopped in our now heavily loaded down car & headed for home, still sticking to our back roads only & no GPS rule...except for that one time when we needed to find a Chicfila in Columbus. Those last two days were soo much fun- the best part of our trip! We can't wait to do another spontaneous road trip like that again! July 11- We all went to PF Chang's to celebrate Daddy's birthday- yum!! July 15- Last session of laser hair removal. No more ‘stache for this girl! July 21 & 22- Two day Harry Potter movie marathon with Benjamin in preparation for the epic finale. July 23- Went to see the final Harry Potter movie with Adam & Benjamin. Best one of the series. Feels like the end of an era. Now I want to read the books. July 28- Mark this day down in history as the day I finally beat my mother at Scrabble- hah!"
(the ticket stub is from when we went to see Harry Potter)
