Recently my sweet husband celebrated his 31st birthday and this was the card I made for him.
We're both huge fans of English bulldogs, so a few months ago I tracked down a rubber stamp of a bulldog (it's from the brand “Stamp Gallery”) and hid it away (I didn't want him to see it and ruin the surprise) until the day before his b-day when I made this card.
My hubby's favourite colour is orange, so I started with an orange Ranger Distress cardstock card base and layered on cute Echo Park patterned paper (yellow hearts to symbolize our love and colourful cupcakes to tap into the birthday vibe), as well as wide strip of purple satiny ribbon (also in a nod to birthdays and the unwrapping of gifts).
I'm happy to report he loved the card (it's the first I've ever made him) – especially the cute bulldog stamp.
