Lynnette I think you did a wonderful job on the waves. I love the colouring to match your prictures. I didn't realize you were from NS (me too). You really captured the force of the waves in this layout!!! I just love this!
Those are impressive waves in the photos! I love how you cut and painted your waves. You go, girl! This is an awesome layout - caught my eye in your gallery.
Wow!!! Beautiful! Simple but beautiful! I love your waves, they are fantastic. Such a unity in this page! It looks like a reporter's page. Right in my favourites.
This lo is for August's Subject Challenge: "Making Waves". Can I just say how much cutting out those waves at the bottom and painting them are out of my comfort zone!? Let's just say you can't get much farther out of it than those are. Definitely not my usual style and I'm still not sure if I like them but at least I tried something new! These photos are from Hurricane Bill who swung by Nova Scotia on August 24, 2009. I happened to be at my parent's house when it came so we went out to see what the waves were like down at the beach. I've never seen such large waves in my life...or that many crazy people trying to jump into them! People just don't realize how much force are in those waves and how quickly something can go wrong...but to each their own I guess! I actually commented how dreary this lo looks and one of my friend's that was also at the crop this weekend commented that it was supposed to be because it was a storm! LOL I suppose she's right about that! Thanks for looking! :)
