What a stinker EK is to use her mother's "fantastic plastic" like she did!!! I think she should have to work it off.....but then again, getting her to do that would be like "herding cats", wouldn't it?!!!
Oh, you naughty kitty and pooch. Hope you had enough fun to equal the trouble you are now in. No more fun adventures for awhile. Guess you're just going to be a Stay-at-Home kitty for awhile!
BUSTED!! Yeah that kitty and Chena have been having WAY to much fun at our expense! Jen and I, along with some other gals, had a grand time this past weekend scrappin' and yappin' - well other than the part where we had to deal with the credit card issues, LOL!! And Chena, well Chena is such a charmer, you can't stay mad at her!
Love this LO. The DA piece at the top just pulls it all togehter sort of as a frame, great work as usual!
Oh Escape Kitty -- tell your mama that you learned from the best!!! Lol!!! I love the story and the page is gorgeous! Such beautiful layering and textures. Awesome work!
OMG! This is so funny because I just did the same thing with my credit card bill when I opened it-felt weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc. But I didn't realize I could blame it on the dogs or cats! Whew! What a relief! I'm so glad I'm not the only one keeping the craft economy afloat, either! It's beautiful! TFS!!
Strange, but Kitty doesn't look a bit remorseful! How else does one finance one's escapades, Mother?! Time out is a small price to pay for all the fun we had, so get over it and pay the bill! Just wait 'til you see next month's statement . . . purrrrrr! By the way, great layering. Love the distressed strips.
This is wonderful! I have my own little feline wonders & can totally appreciate the story...I sat here on my couch reading & giggling as I read your description..the humaness you give your cat & your credit card is priceless as is your reaction to opening that bill...gotta LOVE it! This page in absolutely incredible...I LOVE LOVE the strips, flower, buttons, strings,....oh heck, just the whole page! Straight to my favorites!!!!! In my "most Impressive" category! :)
Love the wood buttons. Maybe EK needs to get a job. But the poor thing tries to escape because she aways feels like she's grounded, 'cause you won't let her out, LOL.
holy moly, spicy guacamoly....my eyes are having fun looking at everything on this layout...love, love, love, love it!!!!! i love all your stuff....i take a lot of my layout ideas from your stuff :o) yayyyy you!!!!
UR too funny. I think I have escape puppies..because I get the stink and exploding eye when I get my CC statement! Our SB supply addiction! Poor Kitty, maybe some house chores might help pay U back for some of the travel expense. I give a list of chores to my so called three "working dogs" each morning...they never seem to get to the list. Too much sleeping, licking and window street shopping!
Oh Jen I can send you a dollar if that would cut a day maybe off EK's time out. She doesn't look happy (not like her).Lol your tale telling is wonderful as usual and I think this lo is great cat lo , the buttons are awesome as are your details.
Awesome LO....love the paper, the strips, the sewing and the buttons (I LOVE buttons) and how you put it all together, not to mention the wonderful tale.....!!!
Here's an idea - YOU get EK to sign off on all claims to her adventures and photos - YOU write a book, YOU get it published, YOU collect the royalties and YOU get to pay off your credit card AND KEEP the change!!! Of course I would expect a small salary for coming up with the BRILLIANT idea -LOL. Seriously Jen, this is an AMAZING lo - your talents are endless!! TFS and keeping us all amused.
Look at that kitty laying there in the middle of that GORGEOUS layout!!! No wonder she pulls shenanigans all the time, she knows she will get center billing on some of the most wonderful and fabulous layouts ever!!!! Stunning, again :)))
Jenn, this is INCREDIBLE!!!! I just love your design, the strips with the punched ends, the buttons, well everything!!!! And that Kitty and Chena, boy oh boy, lol!!!
Episode #23 - Ongoing scrappy saga.............Travel travel travel. All this world traveling adds up to big bucks on someone's credit card. Even magic carpet rides are not free (who knew? - see my gallery for Kitty's Episode #18 Magic Carpet Ride for that crazy story)
Kitty and a Standard Poodle named Chena have been sneaking around the world on a giant "kick-back and be free" kind of vacation. Great for the wealthy but Kitty doesn't even have a dime to her name and no pockets to carry that dime if she did have one.
Chena, by the way, is Maggi43's wild dog of adventure.
ahhhhhh who is footing the bills you ask? All this time, I thought the trips with Chena were funded from Maggi's generous heart. I had heard that Maggi gave Chena the credit card on their first trip to Alaska. That trip was supposed to be the trip to end all trips.
hahahahaha -yeah, but no. It just started a whole domino effect where now Kitty feels she was born to roam the world and get "cultured" as she says.
I went to get the mail on Friday and I noticed the credit card statement was sitting on the top of the stack - giving me the "stink eye", daring me to open it. I carefully peeled the envelope and peaked with one eyeshut - as if to look with only one eye actually cuts the credit card bill in half. A silly little mind game I play round about credit card time. But this gal loves her scrappy supplies. Who was I kidding. The other eyelid exploded open.
BAM -I was holding the MOTHER OF ALL MOTHER credit card bills. Black Friday hit my house! Are you seriously kidding me???? Kiiiiiiiittttttttttty! What have you been buying?
Funny how I was not really concerned when I thought it was Maggi's credit card but now that it's mine, my shorts are all in a bunch. Well I am sorry Maggi for my selfishness over your bills.
So now what? Kitty is grounded. Time Out! Stuck at home while I go to visit Maggi and smooth this all out. I am looking forward to meeting Maggi but dreading to hear how much her credit card bill is. I think I need a second job to pay the super ginormous bill those two raggamuffins racked up.
This is a photo of Kitty in TIME OUT! Get used to it Kitty. And wipe that smirk off your face because I am serious!
Created using the Scraps Of Darkness Sept. Kit - Passages.for a round robin challenge there. The kit is totally gorgeous and packed with amazing goodness. You can take it vintage, feminine, or grungy and dark. Whatever your heart desires. It all works.
I also used a piece of Dusty Attic at the top. OK truth be told that's where my credit card gets used. I love me my Dusty Attic.
Please visit Maggi43's gallery for her version of the story and her amazing art work.
