I moved a few weeks ago. Started looking through a box of my Dad's things which I had packed away 28 years ago after he died at the all-too-young age of 54. Found a grainy photo of him and his first grandchild and namesake, and the only grandchild he lived to see (my nephew) -- my son was born the year after he died. The picture was taken in July, 1975. I showed it to my nephew. He fell in love with it. I decided to do this layout to frame and give to my nephew for Christmas. A simple layout on a "Family Tree" background. Has a poem, written by me, called "Granddaddy and Me." The three points of the poem -- lineage with a DNA symbol, friendship with the Chinese symbol for friendship, and legacy with an eternal flame -- are placed on the tree.
