The story behind how the trip came about (in brief, a business trip for my husband). I liked that I put the four paragraphs of journaling on increasingly darker shades of blue, matted on navy blue.
The globe at the top came from the "Going Places" Cricut cartridge, and was originally made as a Christmas tag (to give a "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" board game to my husband). It's still got the ribbon attached. There's also a little vellum phrase by Deja Views.
The envelope was made by me. I added a travel stamp from a Making Memories sticker set. The tag in front of it actually came from a little kit from the dollar store that my mom had put in my stocking a few years ago. It's got some ribbon through it, and a square blue brad through the ribbon. Inside the envelope is the card Aaron made on Christmas Eve while I was at work - he even used both the Cricut and the Sizzix to make lettering and shapes for it.
