Spooky place to be sure. You have a neked featherless crow in your LO. Are you wondering where the crow's feathers are? hahahaha - I am wearing them on my Halloween skirt. Sorry dude. Peggy, I love the bead spray you picked for that flower. It really makes the tree pop and so puuurfectly frames the photo. You have such a gorgeous eye for color and what will work well together - like the little hint of Timmy Persimmon
Your photo editing on this photo is beyond gasp worthy. Being that I was there in person when you took that photo, your vision of the photo is totally different than mine and I have edit envy!!!!!!! Now your scrapping of such a cool photo is also beyond gasp worthy. You have made the creepy also be gorgeous. Every little detail here is wonderfully crafted.
Peggy dear this is just perfect!!!! Great imagination at work here with your awesome tree with the crow hovering over that creepy house!!! Your inking and bit of distressing just adds to the wonderful "haunted" feeling here! xo
golly perfect foto for your scary page you have created boy that house looks like it may hold some strange mysterious critters...luv your masking and the details
“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes…”
During a recent long weekend spent with several of my Swirly Sisters in North Carolina, our gracious hosts, Maggi and her husband took us all on a Sunday drive/ photo shoot through their (new to us) tobacco country, stopping at every scream and squeal as we spotted perfect scenes, buildings and objects to photograph.
When Rae announced her Jeepers CREEPers SGC challenge, I went through my “Maggi Camp” photos, knowing that I’d find the perfect image and I was right. I uploaded into PSE and started tweaking it with Florabella actions, a little of this and a little of that, in the spirit of eye of newt and toe of frog.
This was the perfect opportunity to play with some of my new toys: the Crafters’ Workshop Branches template and the new Tim Holtz seasonal ink pads.
The paper, cardstock and large flower (torn apart, layered and centered with a Prima rosebud) are from the gorgeous September kit from Swirlydoos. The Petaloo vine is from an earlier kit. The appropriate matting is burlap from Maggi: she bought a ginormous roll from Home Depot and generously told us all to take as much as we want.
I’ll be buying a black shadowbox over the weekend to frame this, but I wanted to display it here now with many thanks to Rae for the inspiration; this was a lot of fun!!!!
