The paper in opposite corners with the foreign writing is one of the uglies and the purple checkered paper was used to mat some of the pictures and used as photo corners to hold multiple pics in place. The ugly embellie is the photo sticker in the upper left hand corner.

When I lived in PA, the young girl in the upper left hand corner was a foreign exchange student in Jim Thorpe, PA. My friend Karen is from there and she got to meet the girl and was talking to her and asked how her stay was going in the US. She said she wished she could go to NY and see the Statue of Liberty. We had been on several trips to NYC but never took a trip to Ellis Island. We had a lot of fun that day. The other person with the darker hair is one of my sisters, Mary. She had moved out to PA to live me. That was her first time in NY, too.

This was thrown together real fast, but they were in an old photo album that was starting to turn brown. Notice the Twin Towers in the bottom left hand corner. TFL. Not the best quality, the sun what little there was of it today has already gone down.
