1 of 24 birdhouses that my mom and I spray painted and then decorated for my cousin's baby shower. The baby's nursery and bedding has cute little birds on it and the colors are light pink, pink, white, and chocolate brown. We thought that these would serve as decorations for the baby shower, but she could put them in the baby's room. A double whammie!
Because they would be going into the baby's room we wanted them to be cute, but also simple. We didn't want to go completely over the top on them.
I spray painted this birdhouse pink and then used chocolate brown acrylic paint around the edges. I used one of my favorite stamps. A heart that is kind of messy. Makes it look more hand drawn and imperfect. I then cut apart a beautiful Prima pearl flourish and attached 2 of the pieces to make it look like it was coming out of the heart. It looks really great it person. This photo does not do it justice!
*I know this picture isn't great. The lighting is terrible. I had to use my cell phone camera because there's something wrong with my camera. :o( *
