These are pics of dh and ds1 building a table for ds2. DS1 is now a freshman in college, so..umm..yeah...I am NOT caught up in my scrapping! LOL
This lo was done from a sketch at Colorful Creations. I used November Sketch #2, which can be found here http://colorfulcreations.ning.com/forum/topics/november-sketches.
I used brown cs for the base of this lo, then used a shaped pp (the green pp with the dark brown border). I cut the measuring tape pp into a large circle and layered that on top. I found two pieces of pp that were tool themed, so I used those for the strips of pp that the sketch suggested. I found a piece of wood pp that I used for the 3rd pp. I matted the two pics and placed one of them on a library card envelope so that I could insert the journaling tag into the envelope. I used 3 different sets of alphabet stickers for he title. I traced around the "TOOL" letters with a black marker to make them stand out more and added brown mini brads to the "T" to give it more of a carpenter look...or something like that. :D I placed a clock face sticker on a wooden washer and added a metal spinner. I used Distress Ink on the wooden washer. I adhered the metal butterfly to the lo, then stitched wire to the lo to make the flight path.
