65 Years Of Love

This is an older couple who we’ve known for over 30 years, who are very dear to us.
They never had any children, so when they got old, they didn’t have anyone to look after them, so we ‘adopted’ them.

We invited them to live with us and built them an apartment downstairs with their own entrance and driveway.
That was 6 years ago. It’s sad when you see their health failing, but wonderful to have them as part of our family.
They are the grandparents my children didn’t have any more, and great-grandparents to my grandchildren.

This picture was taken on their 65th wedding anniversary. We brought cake and ice cream and had a little party.
