This is the only picture that I have of my aunt Alicia.She is the girl holding my legs.She died in a tragic accident when she was only 11 years old.I lived with my grandmother for the first 3 years of my life and Alicia was the one who took care of me.My mom says we were inseparable.After I left my grandma's to go live with my mom(in the U.S.) Alicia would write me letters.I was too young to read them so my mom would read them to me.I tucked one of those letters behind the faux envelope.I read it recently and it brought tears to my eyes and it inspired me to do this layout.I was too young to remember it all and she was too young to be taken from us.I wanted to honor her spirit,her innocence and the love she had for me.Rest in peace aunt Alicia.
