My sister, LeeAnn, and I were asked by a friend to make a guest book for her son's funeral. The theme chosen was "Scooby" because it's his nickname and he loved Scooby Doo. We had great colors to work with and were able to find printed papers that worked well.

There were time restraints (only about 5 hours to work on it together with just minutes to photograph it before it was delivered). Because of that fact, we opted to use as many preprinted Scooby items as we could find and kept the design and construction simple.

We wanted each page to have one or two pockets so combined they would hold the 75+ tags that were made to fit in them. The guests used the tags as a place to write down thoughts, favorite memories or notes of comfort to the family. The tags and acid-free pens were kept in a basket by the book.

Some of the pages you see will look a little bare. The reason is that we left room to insert photos of "Scoob" at a later date. Each spread has a sign-in sheet (printed on cardstock) on the page that faces the pocket/photo pages.

When the tags are all in their pockets and the book is closed, there is a fun ribbon adorned "hedge" that sticks out above the top edge of the album.

It was a blessing to do this for our friend and her family and a joy to work with you on an album again, LeeAnn!
