Remember all "The Dog' stuff from the mid 2000's where the photographer took photos of all the different dog breeds against white backgrounds using a wide angle lens so that their noses were really huge? Happy Meal toys, posters, calendars, Monopoly, etc? Well, I took this shot of my Lexie, and it reminded me of that collection so I decided to do a LO in a blinged-up version of that style.

I cut out her silhouette to use on an all white bg and popped it up with foam tape. I printed a copy of one of the posters in wallet size, and I put 'The Dog' in all caps under her and her breed in the upper left corner like in all the portraits on the poster.

This is for:
1) The Monochrome Challenge - Week 3 ~ Whispers in White. I did the twist 'Glimmer and Bling.' The bg paper, diecut frame, and doily are all sprayed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I used a pearl and rhinestone cluster under the photo, a bling heart, a bling pawprint, pearl flower centers, and pearls on the diecut frame. There is Frosted Lace Stickles on the stamens in the large flower, and the smaller flowers are covered in Clear Rock Candy Stickles. I also used my clear Stardust pen to outline the poster from it's mat and to write the date in the lower right corner. I used a glitter alpha for 'Smooth Collie.'

2) The Pet Challenge. I did the twist to use real or faux stitching -- I stitched with white DMC floss around the edge of the LO.

The photo is from Thanksgiving in 2007. Lexie passed away in 2009 at age 14 1/2. TFL
