Whenever I need a laugh, I turn my chickens out. They have a chicken race to the base of the light pole to find the dead and dying bugs from the night before. Then they start exploring under the leaves and grasses to find tasty bugs and grass seeds. And whenever one of the horses ... um ... poops - that is a TREASURE of a find for my birds. Horse poo has LOADS of undigested grain, which chickens are all too eager to help recycle.
Here they're all intent on a pile of dropped horse manure.
I don't know. I just find them hysterical.

I just love the story behind this. Every weekday morning, I put our cows out to pasture and most morning I sit and watch them because it makes me feel happy and peaceful. And, sometimes they make me laugh. I love how you stuck the feather in your pinwheel.

This is adorable!!! I didnt realize there were blue chickens!!! gorgeous blue color!!! Your story cracked me up!!! but then one of the guys walked in and read your description and said.. "makes you rethink about eating chicken, doesnt it". Darn men!! why did he have to bring that up! LOL!! I eat chicken a lot! (It must have been the "poo" comment)
