For this page I was inspired by the tiled wall in a restaurant. The tiles were all of similar, but varied colors and textures. so I chose squares of similar color and distressed them. Then I was also inspired by a quilt that my mom made, to try some quilting on a layout. I had not intended to combine the two but it just worked. I used the negative space from the stickers that coordinate with this paper line, to draw the butterfly and heart shapes, then punched the holes, erased the lines and stitched. It took FOREVER! but I was watching TV while I did it, and I love the way this turned out, so it was worth it.
