Journaling: Week 7: February 12-18
Monday was a scheduled day off and after the amount of birthday and zombie party food I consumed I sure needed it because my tummy was not happy with me at all. When I did get feeling better I moved right into scrapbooking mode in David’s office. I kept hearing noises above me but couldn’t tell if it was in the attic or on the roof. I was thinking maybe birds or squirrels. Either way they were a major distraction. Then the unthinkable happened…my Cameo stopped working! It would start cutting a design and then stopped and reset itself without actually cutting. I then figured out what the noises had been from…scrapbooking gremlins! I called the Cameo company and they said it sounded like a defective unit so they gave me a FedEx number to ship the broken one back to them and said they would ship me another new one. I had no problem with this solution other than I wouldn’t have a Cameo for a while.  With no Cameo to play with I caught up on some regular scrapbooking and learned that I had won the January AGC challenge for having the most points overall! Yeah me! As evening rolled around I hurriedly wrapped David’s Valentine’s Day gifts and prepared to enjoy some C&B time. Tuesday was of course Valentine’s Day #6 for David and I and our love is still going strong. We both had to work which was a major bummer; the day would be a lot more special if we could’ve spent the entire time together. After work I went to this little gift shop in the same plaza as my work and bought him a coffee mug filled with chocolates as an extra surprise. It was a “Lucky In Love” mug and I am very lucky to have him. We finally got to exchange gifts that night and David got me the “Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 1” DVD. I love these movies because they are about forever love. Now even though I’m a Team Jacob member my heart is already taken. Sorry Jacob, David Lamp is MY forever Valentine. Wednesday started off so sweetly for me. I made some hot chocolate in David’s new “Lucky” mug and when I went upstairs I found a note from him about how lucky He felt to have me. I am loving the luck today! I downloaded some inspirational designs and worked on Project Life but I couldn’t get the day to go by fast enough. I wanted time to fly because when David got home the Twilight would begin. We stayed up late to watch the whole movie and it was sooooo good! I CANNOT wait for the final movie to come out. I am such a Twilight junkie. We had a very busy Thursday afternoon scheduled but since that was AFTER noon I got to sleep in! We had a four birthday celebration dinner tonight to honor Brooklynne, Bobby, Marci and myself all at the same time. The restaurant we were dining at just happened to be in Fairlawn so I got some shopping in before our reservation. The restaurant was called Steak On A Stone and as it implies you actually are served your steak on a piece of lava rock heated to 750 degrees! We found that they are placed in an oven for one day that is set at 1000 degrees for 24 hours before being used for dinner. When you are served you get to cook your meat to your specific taste at your own convenience. It was a Greek inspired restaurant with so many flavorful dishes such as a flam bayed cheese appetizer, escargot, and a salty, buttery Greek potato. David had a rough beginning to his evening when our server spilled his glass of Sprite right into his lap, this on her very first day of work! We also had some grumpy customers complain about our taking pictures so we had to stop and wait for them to leave. Really? Does light flashes make it impossible to swallow food? I’ll have to check Web MD about this ailment. I had an amazing time and even cried when David’s sister-in-law gave me a necklace with a blingy camera on it. I had seen these and wanted one for a long time and did not expect her to get it for me at all. Before we knew it was time for everyone to start heading home. Our drive was about an hour so of course I fell asleep but David got us home safely as always and my 26th birthday celebration was officially over. P.S. My grandmother Edith passed away 10 years ago on this day and I just wanted her to know that I love her and miss her very much. Friday was a day best over and done with quickly. The store was super busy, add a helping of very tired and a sprinkle of migraine and I was one overwhelmed woman! When David came home he spoiled me by making (TV) dinner and a large dose of cuddle that turned my UGH’s into AAH’s in a heartbeat. Saturday was a ridiculous 7-4 shift that drained any thought of energy right out of me. When David picked me up he treated us to two Caramel Hot Chocolates from McDonald’s. David loved his, mine tasted a lot more Mocha then Caramel, but otherwise they were very good. I cleaned the kitchen and had dinner ready when he got home and we cuddled into the weekend together.
