So precious!!! It turned out great, in real life we cant see everything so it didn't stand out to me til I read about it. Its really sweet Pic & Layout!
adorable title and I love that you found photos of them both at 3, darling lo (And nice work on the pony with no head!-did not even notice til you pointed it out!)
My two girls are 8 years apart in age, but in this layout, they are both three years old.
I took the photograph on the right in 1985. The left hand photo is from 1993, but I did not take it. My younger daughter was on a pre-school field trip to the local petting zoo, and the person who took the picture was more concerned about getting Amy centered in the picture than she was worried about taking a complete picture. In both photos, Amy's pony has no head. I had to embrace the goof and work with it.
I did a lift of a project by Kate Vickers from Scrapsation. I loved her concept and I really wanted to stay true to the whole project, but it just did not work out that way for me. I pulled some October Afternoon paper from the Sasparilla line, and I really tried to make it play with my pictures. It just did not want to - very much. So I did what I could, added a little Jenni Bowlin micro dot and some paper doll cut outs from a paper line that I can't remember because they came from my scrap box.
In the end, about the only thing that I managed to keep from the original was the basic sketch and the title.
