These pages are the last stop on this tour before we actually head inside Linda Hazzards old home. But first, here we go off the beaten path to the Sanitarium ruins.

The sanitarium burned down in 1935 and it was so crazy how over the last 76 years the forest reclaimed the land where the sanitarium once stood.

I had so many photos and journaling for these pages that I just went back to the very basics... title, matting and journaling. Maybe someday I'll have an epiphany of adding something else to it, but for now just keeping it simple.

***Warning***

the subject of this tour might be disturbing to some so read no further if that might be you.

Journaling reads:

Incinerator journaling-
The old incinerator – some wonder if Linda Hazzard used this as another way of disposing bodies that were never found.

Tree Stump journaling-
A couple days before the tour, a storm had come through knocking down and uprooting this tree. The roots were caked with some of the original ashes from the 1935 fire.

The foundation journaling-
This is part of the foundation walls to the sanitarium. The growth over the last 76 years was incredible, and made it hard to visualize the huge sanitarium standing in the clearing like in the old photo as where now this place is just a thick wooded forest once again.
