I was needing a break from wedding los, so I'm wondering if this is a far enough departure? lol My dh has been wanting me to scrap these photos for quite some time. They were taken on one of our dives off of St. Croix, U.S.V.I. This beautiful green moray eel is my dh's buddy, "Snaggletooth" and he is my hubby's pride and joy! We lovingly named him "Snaggletooth" because, in the top pic, he looks like he has one lone tooth hanging down. When I got these pics out, I made the comment that there probably isn't even a word "snaggle" so I looked it up in the dictionary and, lo and behold, snaggletooth is actually a word. It means "a tooth that is broken or not in alignment with the others". Guess we weren't as crazy as we thought!
I had scrapped another underwater lo back in 2010 (pg. 4 "Behold the Beauty") and it looked very "flat" to me because I didn't ink or doodle anything. I tried to correct that and inked a lot of this, doodled, and stickled but it's still hard to see it online. Oh well, I can see it IRL. Did the title on my computer, cut it out and made most everything else with my Cricut. I tried to focus on the beauty aspect in my other lo but, with this one, I wanted it to be more fun and whimsical. I think it's a bit busy, but my dh likes it! I just defend myself by saying, "When Snaggletooth is in his cave.....he WANTS to be hidden!!! lol All of the journaling was taken from my dh's dive log.
Thanks so much for taking your time to look.

this is just great, Laurie! Love how colourful and lively this is and the "snaggletooth" thing cracks me up! Toby has a fang on one side that must stick out a bit, because his lip gets caught on it sometimes and he looks ridiculous; we call him snaggletooth when he looks at us with that weird crooked "smile".

I have to agree with vija, there's nothing flat about this TERRIFIC lo. Looks like I could reach right in and touch Mr. Snaggletooth - not that I'd want to. I am scared of snakes and eels are really close to snakes in my book. But enough about me - back to your wonderful lo. I love your doodling, inking and stickling (is that a word???). Everything you've done gives the lo WONDERFUL depth and the colorful fish with the wiggly eyes definitely add a bit of whimsy. TFS!!
