Give a Cheer
This was very emotional piece for me to create. Alex crossed over from cub scouts to boy scouts this year. Next fall he will go to middle school. It hit me at the cross over that I was losing my boy. Very soon it will be Mom who? His friends will become the center of his universe. I will lose a lot. The rabbit from Alice is for our child's rush to grow up and my wanting to hold him right where he is.
It toke me a short time to dream it up but several days to make decisions on pictures and title. Don't blink was always the title; I am a fan of country music. I wanted to put a few lines from the song but decided the title was the stronger statement. I had a title wrapped on a flourish, another was the center wrap of a gear, finally I decided I needed bold lettering.
