Well, I had been planning to have this space "someday", but was so thrilled when I was finallly able to start the process. I don't like clutter and it's kind of driven me crazy. We started the room when the baby came home from the hospital, so as you can imagine, when I was finally able to move stuff back in, I had so much "help" that I couldn't put stuff exactly where I wanted it or as organized as I wanted it. But, slowly things are starting to get done. It's funny you ask about how I keep the kids out of my "stuff" because I was having a scrapbook night with some friends and took the "fence" down!! :) Ha! Yes...I keep a kiddie gate type fence across the entire length of the room. The oldest can come across, but it keeps the baby out. Until we figured out this way to keep her out, she was constantly pulling my ribbon out of the drawers!!! My cardstock is stored on clear 12x12 trays, in the closet with the punches (I think you can see the punches from another picture) and my 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock is stored in the glass cabinets on top, behind my side of the island. Then, I keep my new papers and embellishments clipped together or in large plastic envelopes waiting to be used, in magazine type file boxes or crates in my other closet on wire shelving. Then, when I need certain paper to go with photos, I can flip through to find what matches and pull just that out. It has been the best way for me to stay organized with my new product. Then, the scraps or leftover papers are filed in large legal sized hanging file folders (by color) on either side of my sewing machine in drawers that pull out. Does that answer your questions?? :) I can take pics of those things if you need or want them. :)
I have so many questions for you! YOur space is well thought out and I love the decluttered space. How do you keep your sweet children out of "your stuff" and how do you store your paper?
