I tore a patterned tshirt into approximately 1 inch wide strips and starting at the top and using my glue gun every 10 wraps or so wound the material around the hanger. I took an extra strip and tied a bow at the neck. I think it has a 'shabby chic' kind of look and I'll probably make more. Tfl.
