This is another Mina layout. This is a photo manipulations done by a friend of hers. I printed up this photo a while ago but didn't have just the right papers and embellishments to use on it until I received my Sakurabana Kit from Scraps of Darkness!! It was loaded with stunning papers and a wide variety of embellishments! My only regret is that I haven't had the time to do as much scrapping as I am used to doing. Time just doesn't go as far as it used to it seems!
I wanted this layout to look like Mina does in the picture...covered in drops and splatters of blood! The title/journaling in the wonderful Melissa Frances frame tells a story...a bit humorous and dark at the same time. But still stating the obvious. The bright flourishes in the bottom left and top right corners are actually silver glitter covered chipboard. The winged skull was a prize one of my kids got out of a 50 cent vending machine...it started life as a key chain, its plastic and I just popped the loop off the top and glued it down. The lace I used to make the ribbon flower is sold at the Scraps of Darkness store...the ribbon flower center and the black stone broach at the top came from a broken vintage jewelry lot I won on Ebay. The tiny silver flower beads around the outside frame are from a bracelet of mine that one of my ds broke. I used nail polish for the bright blood red look on the journal frame and white paper layer. TFL!
