Your BG is so stunning !!!! I love this!!!! This page is wonderful i love Every Little detail of this!!!! I now THE firework at Disney is allways amazing Epcot is THE best!!! We live 10 minutes away from THE themeparks and we can see and hear THE firework every evening!!!!
Do you have a tutorial how you can make That great BG???
OMGoodness....amazing work, Sharon!....I'm back now, after a VERY BUSY MAY. So glad all that is now over. I'll be paying your blog a visit ASAP. BIG HUGS!
i don't think the background is a distraction at all. infact it drew me in more to the photo---what a great effect! i am so not a technique scrapper, but love-love-love to see how artists like yourself can play with "light" in your art---wonderful!
I'm with you on trying to use my stash...but I think it will probably take me YEARS! LOVE how the colors pop on the black! The background is absolute stunning and couldn't be MORE perfect!!!
WOW! Sharon this is so GREAT! Love all of your techniques and thanks for sharing what you did! That bridge works so perfect with the whole design! Love it!!! fav
very eyecatching and impressive page sharon, very different from your usual designs but I luv it you sure rocked this even if you felt you were out of your comfort zone what a great foto.....xo
I like it! The background doesn't distrect from the picture because of how you placed it, the journaling and the embellies.Realy like how you did the fireworks. Greate job!
I think the background is fabulous, Sharon, and sets off the pics so well! great job with all the techniques; I'm so bad for never wanting to try anything new on my LOs...you go girl!!
Wow! This is so creative and fun!! Love how you totally captured the feel of your photo with your own fireworks. Love the lamppost and bridge because that reminds me of Epcot and Disney. Great job!!
Sharon, Thank you for the step-by-step here - I LOVE how you did the night sky and might even have to lift it from you for a future layout. You did great using up stuff you already have. Seems a lot of us are going through that "gotta use this stuff up before I buy any more" thing - I am trying to do that too. This is definitely a fave!
Beautiful ,love love the pic,I'm with you I haven't buy nothing for the pass month, because is ridiculous the amount of pps that i have,I need to try so hard no to buy anything,we can do it! Sharon!
WOW Sharon - this is SPECTACULAR!!! The background is PERFECT for the photo and sooooo very creative!! I think you were able to duplicate the fun and excitement of the fireworks display with your awesome lo. a definite fave! GREAT job on using up your stash too.
No, in fact, I think it draws your attention to the photo in an incredible way! this is a lovely design, and i love that you included the bridge, which had sentimental value for you (in more ways than one!!) great job!~
I am still trying to use my stash and not buy anything new. And I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone by using different techniques and papers. Here I used a tree template and painted gesso on the shiny black paper that was included with the template. Next, I painted the firework display over it. I enlarged the firework image from an old "Fancy Pants" stamp, punched it, and used it as a template for the yellow paint. (I loved that prima bridge - we watched the fireworks from a bridge that reminded me of it . . .got it as a Mother's day gift from my sister.) What do you think? Is the background too distracting from the picture? My journaling reads: Watching the fireworks was one of our favorite parts of our Disney trip. We loved the "Wishes Nighttime Spectacular" Magic Kingdom fireworks and the "Fantasmic!" show at Hollywood Studios. But the "Illuminations:Reflections of Earth" show at EPCOT was definitely our most favorite!! And because of where we stayed, we could walk over to EPCOT and watch them from the bridge every night!
