What can I say?????? You are probably wondering if I sneezed a packet of gem stones all over this???
This goes without saying that I do not consider this one of my finer pieces of work! LOL, and I did think long & hard before up loading this LO, but as I have already uploaded a family layout after the western ceremony, I felt I should also honour the Indian ceremony by posting the other 'family layout'. In my defence the gemstones & the glitter do kind of represent all the bright clashing colours of the Indian ceremony; It just got lost somewhere in the translation! In real life the gem stones and glitter are so shiny they are almost radio active...I'm sure when I took this outside to photograph I saw some Magpies eyeing it off!
Anyway, It's done now. And I have my own rule of never re-doing a layout so I'm just going to have to live with it.

Oh my, Vija- this is awesome!! I would say you've captured the feeling of the Indian Ceremony perfectly!! I don't think there is too much bling, I think it is PERFECT!!!! Such details w/the framed cut out & the borders on the side- lovely colored paper!!! the glittered butterflies are sooo sweet, softens the layout. Love the family picture!!!!!!!!!

Wow Vija you have created a fabulous work here and every embellishment so depicts the Indian culture , and the gems really do rock. The pps are brilliant and the photo is so fitting the page. Oh my gosh Vija, when I first looked at this WONDERFUL lo - my thoughts were of JOY and HAPPINESS, which are the key elements to a wedding ceremony, right? (you are much too critical of your own work). You have done a SUPERB job of embracing and honoring the colorful Indian ceremony and I don't think anything "got lost somewhere in the translation". This is truly a TREASURE, gems and all!!! I am so glad that you won't ever consider re-doing this - it would be a shame to destroy this BEAUTY. TFS.

Honestly, when I first looked at this my thought was, "I wish I could scraplift this for a layout of the Pantai Inn, where we stayed in March. It would be perfect." I love the gemstones, butterflies, and colourful design. And while this layout may not be a favourite of yours, it IS a favourite of mine. Love it! I think you honoured this photo beautifully. (I also have the same "no redoing" rule.)

Not sure why you don't like this! The jewels are perfect for this and the Indian ceremony! It is a GREAT layout! And I like your rule too....that's my rule also. "It is what it is. No more no less so live it!" So I don't redo layouts either.
