For this one I started with an 8x8 piece of paper, found the center, cut an 8 inch circle, and made a grid from there. This one is only 8 marks and 8 punches to do so it's a lot faster. You can see there is a triangle left in the between scroll. You can either trim that out using a cut-knife or leave it. Since the flatness of the punch leaves an inside octogon shape, I think the triangles sort of work with it.
You can see blue painters tape on the front of the edge punch, that was to mark the center for sliding the paper in.

Gave this a try - and within two tries I pulled it off - super THANKS for showing us how to use our punches more fully!
By the way, an 8 inch circle results in a doily useful for a small dessert plate! Cheers
