Both of these layouts are an extreme departure from how I started them off. I think between the two, I spent a good five hours -- that's a lot for me!

I was going to just scrap the main photo, then realized it was just another cute photo of my daughter. It didn't tell a story. Then I remembered, it wasn't easy getting this photo. The Polaroid paper in the EP collection made me think of doing a series of the "outtake" photos. I found those "bad" photos on my computer, made a contact sheet collage in Picasa, and rather than struggle with getting the photos to fit exactly in the Polaroid "frames", I just skewed them slightly. I also got a tip from Jenn Gallacher's video on echoparkpaper.com to make the notebook punches look like they were torn out of a notebook. So simple, but it really adds some interest to the page.

No scraps or sketch were used.
