love the layering and those pictures are too cute. I have more of those candid shots than the posed ones. My kids are always doing something picture worthy (to me) you know. but love the layouy. she reminds me of my niece Lyric.
Both of these layouts are an extreme departure from how I started them off. I think between the two, I spent a good five hours -- that's a lot for me!
I was going to just scrap the main photo, then realized it was just another cute photo of my daughter. It didn't tell a story. Then I remembered, it wasn't easy getting this photo. The Polaroid paper in the EP collection made me think of doing a series of the "outtake" photos. I found those "bad" photos on my computer, made a contact sheet collage in Picasa, and rather than struggle with getting the photos to fit exactly in the Polaroid "frames", I just skewed them slightly. I also got a tip from Jenn Gallacher's video on echoparkpaper.com to make the notebook punches look like they were torn out of a notebook. So simple, but it really adds some interest to the page.
