I love the colours of these beautiful birds. We hand feed them at times, and this one was being very co-operative as I held a stick out the window, fed "him" some mince meat and took photos with my camera in the other hand. Bit of a juggling act, but worth the effort.

Fantastic photo of a beautiful bird - I never knew what a kookaburra looked like - I only knew that we sang about him sitting in "the old gum tree" in Girl Scouts.
