We had an old closet door in the garage. My husband cleaned, sanded and stained it. We put it on top of three small shelves my kids had in their toy room. I love my door desk. It is so huge that I can put these drawers that hold my most used items for cards. I got the drawers from Hobby Lobby. The wire closet shelf across the drawers came from Walmart, as did the shelves over my Cricut and the bins on either side of the Cricut. My husband offered to buy me a "real" desk, but I no. I'll never give up all this space.

Nice huge desk. I love it. I have an inexpensive 8foot plastic table those that you buy for $40 or so. I won't give up all my space either, I love to spread out and create.

DANG!!!!! I am jealous!! This is what I want to do!! We HAVE doors in the garage, but the hubby bought me a desk about 9 yrs ago and i feel bad about wanting to take it out!! ARrrgh I am jealous!! Hmm..might have to show him this!! Great job!!

You are helping the environment by keeping that door out of the trash. I think it's great when people upcycle an object into something new. Enjoy your wonderful space.

You have got a great area to work in. Very creative idea. You don't need a expensive space to be creative. Plenty of great work comes from spaces like this. I think your so lucky to have such a big space to spread out in to work.

Looks like a great set up. And you can always see if your husband would mind if you put the money (or at least some of it) that would have gone into the new desk into scrapbook goodies. :)
