The young lady behind the counter is my mom at about 18 or 19 years old...taken around 1941 or 42.. This shot was taken for a store ad..the other gal was her friend and fellow employee and they remained in touch their whole lives. Mom was working there when she met my dad.
I scattered some "jewelry" around since Mom was working in a jewelry store.

I did this for week one of the August weekly sketch challenge. I flipped the sketch and added a photo corner for the twist.
Pps are new Prima Romance Novel and Tea-Thyme. Leaves are by Dusty Attic. Lace from Ms. The tiny letters under the pic are new by BasicGrey.
