LOL at the Addams family comment; must be the serious expressions that are so typical in old photos! The fence looks great and I love your layering and distressing!
what a great photo - it's too bad you don't know their identities. Love the fence. Your floral arrangement is beautiful - love the way the stick pins and butterfly are tucked in amongst the flowers. Great distressing too. The lo was designed beautifully and really showcases the vintage photo.
very very beautiful vintage look creation, and luv the foto and what you have done with the gates, your flower display is gorgeous ..oh lol they dont look like the Addams family....fave for me.....xo
Absolutely beautiful job on this fabulous lo!! The photo is superb; love the gorgeous flowers, DA, cameos, and resin pieces! The distressing and layers are excellent!!
Wonderful heritage photo! Love that altered fence and those beautiful flowers. You always create such an amazing page Alice. Wish I was you neighbor so we could scrap together and learn from you!
The Adams family? No they don't. LOL!! You're too funny!! The man's not tall enough. I really think the size of your gates and the picture size came out really nicely. Your layers and design are gorgeous!!! Love it!!
Alice, your work is incredible and it has been great to see what you've done with...the past! Love the altered fence and all the distress~ Thanks for sharing! Karen PS - the Adams family?!! LOL LOL :)
Another wonderful page of gorgeous embellishment and detail, Seems oh so sad to think this will be the last of the tin plate photos.I truly enjoyed seeing them all and the beautiful way you scrapped them.
Love how you placed the fence and all your lovely details go so well on this page!!!! I have Perfect Pearls for ever and never use them...not sure what to do with them. Did you just brush on over the paint and did you need to spray a fixative. I love the finish you achieved. Charming!!!!
This is the last of my tintypes taken at North Beach Amusement Park and Beer Garden circa 1913. The people are photographed in front of what I think is a painted backdrop. I don't recognize any of these people as my ancestors so I feel at liberty to be irreverent. For some reason, they remind me of the Adams Family posed in vintage costumes.
I accidentally ordered the wrong size DA chipboard fence and would have preferred a smaller size, so I made my photo larger to balance the fence. I painted the CB black and then gilded it with Perfect Pearls.
I'm so glad I didn't toss these tintypes as the image on the altered copies is so much better than the original tintype. I'm actually going to miss working with them.
