In the late 1800s veins of gold and silver were found in the Gila area of southwestern New Mexico. During that time the village of Mogollon sprang up to serve the influx of miners. Mogollon is nearly gone now, a living ghost town; but memories like these live on, protected by those who still live in the area. I've decided to make a set of layouts to frame and mix with the art we've acquired over the years, and this will join paintings by a local artist we adore. Moving to New Mexico has been for me a terrific study in the theory of "bloom where you're planted." and I've come to love its stark beauty . . . and of course the green chili!! TFL

Don't you just love embossing? Except for when you forget which side is up...Looking for new state to live in. Requirements: No snow, not too hot in the summer, must have trees, gold on the property would be nice but not necessary, preferably no poisonous snakes...Now, I'm wondering what is in green chili??? LOL

How beautiful! Truly a work of art. The touches of gold are beautiful - especially the embossed gold. I am in love with NM especially that area and plan to live there at some point after I retire... you have made be homesick for my 'spiritual' home.
