VIEW FROM OUR BACK DOOR

We flew from Australia took us to Oahu, Hawaii and spent 4 or 5 days washing license plates and delivering them to customers. As soon as the work was temporarily caught up we jumped on the first military hop we could to get back to Florida to pick up Joe and drive to Georgia to make it on time for John & Danielle's wedding.

These pictures were taken from the back door of our cabin on Bellow's Air Force Recreational Facility. It was awesome but if we opened any windows on the ocean side of the house water sprayed in and the waves hit the sea wall so hard it was actually difficult to sleep.

Our flight out of Hickam was interesting. A very large group of nice looking young men filed into the terminal and stacked their weapon cases by the door. Some had huge cases and Bill got up and offered to help them.

Bill asked them what they did and they told him they were in the Navy. Bill told him that he was retired Special Forces but when asked what he did, he was told to just say he was in the Army.

They laughed and realized they could talk to him and told him they were Navy Seals, in fact they part of Seal Team 6 and some of them had been involved with the Bin Laden take-out although we don't know which ones – we just knew this was part of the team from the news.

The President (Obama) had just left Hawaii (he was now on his way to Sydney) and these guys were in Hawaii as snipers to protect him. I felt so safe with them on board our plane! Not to mention the arsenal they were travelling with! Bill really enjoyed chatting with them more on the flight.
