This layout was done for Week 3 of the August MSC. We were to use a sketch by Liz Qualman and the twist was to rotate the sketch in some way. I flipped the layout from left to right and also flipped the block designs from top to bottom.
Journaling: Here I am standing in the driveway beside the old farmhouse. The truck in the background is probably a 1941 Chevrolet that Daddy was still driving when he delivered milk to customers in Junction City, AR. My parents loved to tell about me riding along with him when I was three or four years old, standing on the seat between him and Sonny Rogers, the teenage boy from next door who helped Daddy with the milk deliveries. Even then I had trouble staying awake when riding and Daddy said I would prop my eyes open with my fingers when he or Sonny teased me about going to sleep. Sonny also taught me how to blow bubbles with my bubble gum.
