This is my second DT project for Nuts About Sketches.
Once again, Shawn has created a beautiful and wonderfully fun sketch to play with!
The photos are from a day trip that my DH and I took a couple of months ago. The project is for my LSS Praise Page series on the 23rd Psalm. I knew that I had this project coming up, and had it in mind the day I took these photos. I was just blessed to happen to have my camera when we found this particular cemetery.
DH and I love to tour old ghost towns and cemeteries, the older the better as far as we're concerned. We feel incredibly lucky to find one that has just old rocks as headstones. We stroll through the shade and feel the quiet peace as we read time worn epitaphs and birth/death dates. We feel a shared sorrow at the premature deaths of babies, and hold hands while we read the dates of long married couples who pass from this world to the next often within months of each other.
I hope this particular layout doesn't bring anyone any unnecessary pain - I know we all fight the grief of losing our loved ones, and I hope that grief is not too fresh for your family - but it brings me a certain peace of mind, knowing that there is hope after this life in the eternal soul of the next one.
