We ventured out today as many Californians did to see a piece of history in the making! Space Shuttle Endeavour flew over Long Beach a little after 12 noon before landing at LAX. We had such a wonderful view just by chance! Our minds were set on witnessing this awesome event more by the Queen Mary, but parking lots were full, so we had to move down a mile or so and we ended up right on the beach! And it couldn't have been better! Wow, gave me goosebumps seeing it off at a distance coming right toward us! Shawn was excited to see it at 1st, but he cared more about playing in the sand then anything else. :)

My grandson came to the preschool later since he and his Dad have wanted to see how the shuttle landed on the Moffet Field.

How awesome. My DD would love to see this as she's mad about planes and aircraft. Her goal is fighter jet pilot , but at 14 yo she's already too tall. Poor darling.

Congratulations Nat!!!! So happy that you and your family were able to see a piece of history such as this! One of the attorneys I work for was able to see the Enterprise when it landed in NYC back in May. He said that same thing...gave him goosebumps. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us!
