Fabulous idea for the BG. Love all the vintage bits and bobs. The photos look great double matted. And I too, love the chicken wire but it's sometimes hard to get hold of. You've got a good friend in Chez.
Such an amazing, fun, and absolutely gorgeous page! I love those photos so much - they are true treasures and you scrapped them beautifully and with such creativity!!!!!
Oh MY Gosh this lo is so creative. Your background paper is awesome. I love all the layers and the Tim Holz embellishments. This is so awesome!!! It should win a prize. Do you know how to pin it to Pinterest? I'd love to put it in my board.
What a fantastic background you created with the posters and what fabulous photos. It's wonderful to see such a creative vintage lo such as this. Beautifully done.
SPECTACULAR lo! Love your fabulous bg and all the metal embellies; the burlap is perfect with the DA chicken wire! The photos are excellent...that Hupmobile was a awesome vehicle!

These photos are of my grandfather's first car - a 1928 Hubmobile. My mother told me it had a rumble seat. My mother and my Uncle Ted (argyle sweater and plaid jacket - admittedly not the greatest combinations) and some family friends are standing on the running board.
Hupp Motor Company was founded in 1908 and competed against Ford and Chevrolet. By 1928, sales of these autos had reached 65,000.
I made the paper for the background by copying early Hupmobile ads from the internet. I then created a collage which I covered with 2 coats of Mod Podge.
The remainder of the design was inspired by Bubbachooka's Steampunk Butterfly Bella. As usual I built my design from the bottom up and when I finished my LO, I found that I had covered up too much of my Hupmobile background, so I took my page apart so that I had fewer layers and more background. I'm much happier with the result.
I thank my dear friend Chez for the wonderful gift of DA chicken wire chipboard.
