You are so funny! Let me just add that this is what makes SCRAPS OF DARKNESS rock! Our out the box thinking team and our crazy versatile kits!!!! I did girly you did winter all with a masculine theme kit!
You rocked this layout! It's gorgeous and you made that photo talk winter for sure!
And good luck! :)
Stunning page! I think it's fantastic that you are able to salvage and reuse things, and the wood bark is truly awesome here. You have an amazing mind to come up with so many creative ways to use things!
What a fab idea to use real wood bark in your lo!! It's perfect for this page. I love the soft earth, woodsy colors and all your 'roughed up' punchwork; excellent photo editing and page design. Love.
Very beautiful Jen!! Loooove all the techniques you have used and your ability to turn "crap" into beautiful scrap!! Hmmmm...can you do with a 3 ton shipping container heading your way ;))
Another fabulous enchantment. I love your winter wonderland you created here. The embellies you transform into little pieces of heaven are priceless! fave (when will you ever open up your own etsy?)
Gorgeous LO, Jen - your shed by the woods after a light snow fall makes me homesick for my NY property and our woods after more than 35 years. I love how you used these brown tones for your snowy LO and that bark with the DA chipboard is not only innovative, but beautiful - love those Genie stones and the Bel Canto flowers. This is a sure shot for my FAVE's. You rock!!!!
My heart just jumped right out of my chest! This is glorious Jen! Such WOW factor colors and amazing texture! I love how you did the little Prima gems! Straight to my FAVS!
YOU are ONE amazing talented artist Jen!!!! What a masterpiece you've created here!!!! Totally LOVE the wood bark & branches/twigs!!!! GORGEOUS work & an instant fav!
Jen, it must be nice to see snow!!!!! I love your LO & your snow-covered trees~~ The papers you used are perfect for the LO.I love the Genie stones too!!!!!! Great LO<<<<<
Jen I just love the organic feel you add to your los with the natural elements. Your backyard is similar to mine and I love the way you portrayed all the elements. Wonderful, wonderful!!!
It's my entry for the Prima September PPP Challenge.
I love the woodsy fall natural colors that were picked and alas I have a photo that really accentuates these so I paired my photo with Prima's Craftsman Collection featured in the September Scraps of Darkness kit, My Guy. Lucky me! The kit had the perfect papers and the perfect collection. Luckier yet, background paper I selected from the Prima line made my job super easy because it included almost all of the palette colors already, taking the stress out of the challenge.
I took this photo of my backyard after a small snow dusting in March 2012. The trees in our woods looked like they had been sugar coated. Truth be told, the winter had not been as snowy as usual so I was really desperate to take some photos after a snowfall. I just love snow covered scenes. Snow covered anything looks halfway decent. I ended up glamorizing my husbands storage shed in our backyard.
Heck - desperate times result in desperate photos. My husbands shed is really desperate. Yet the trees are really pretty to me here.
I love to put the "crap" back in scrap. I can't stand to see my co-worker, friends, family toss stuff away without first running junk past the "Jen approval process". Is it worthy to save or can that garbage be honestly tossed. Well well well..... the "Jen approval process" nabbed some wood bark off a dead flower arrangement from my workplace. My co-workers were scratching their heads asking what I was going to do with wood bark - me being a paper crafter and all.
"Oh don't worry your pretty little heads."
I used the Dusty Attic Twigs DA0129 to replicate my sugar coated woods.
