This is the 2nd Cheetah in the past 4 years that has taken a liking to DH (The story of Eddie, the other one, to follow when I upload his scrapped page). Byron was laying down, but sat up, still purring, and started sniffing DH. Knowing that wild animals can sense fear, we stayed calm and just stepped back.
DH snapped the ligaments in his foot a few days before, so I don't know if Byron thought of DH as weakended prey, or if he just liked his aftershave (LOL!).
