The title and journaling are a take-off on Lewis Carroll's "The Walrus and the Carpenter". Journaling reads: "The time has come," the Kitty said, "to talk of many things: of hammers - nails - and powers saws - of boards - and screws - and awls - and why I like your shoulder so - and whether you feel my claws." The photos are of my Daddy and his cat, Carlisle. Carlisle loved to ride around on Daddy's shoulders in the garage and in the garden. When he was a kitten he would sit in the top of Daddy hat and ride around! LOL! He was quite a cat. I love these pics of Daddy, doing what he loved, working out in his workshop, probably making another wooden toy for one of the grandkids.... "Powerhouse" - just something I remember him calling himself! LOL!

The design is based on a PageMaps sketch. I distressed the edge of the cream cs and inked it. The photo edges are all sanded. The little bits of "sandpaper" are actually pp that looks like sandpaper, torn and inked. I used an assortment of silver brads, some that look like screws and assorted tool stickers. The title is stamped, then handcut and inked. The little slice of "wood" with the date was made by punching a circle from the pp and adding a dark brown edge - cut crookedly. Thanks so much for looking!!!

This wonderfully clear and straight pic of my layout - courtesy of my new printer/scanner - It will scan 11-3/4 x 11-3/4 - close enough! And such a great clear, and did I mention straight - pic! And I can now print on my 12x12 paper! YAY! :)
