I love that view! Who could be in a bad mood after that?? Me and my Grandpa used to take daily walks together, and I love that you share that with Anne. Do you know it sticks, I still have to take a long hike or walk at least 5 days a week, it helps me to connect to my faith and to myself :) Love that you scrap the beautiful moments in your life~
I enjoyed reading your description of this pretty layout. We have a creek down the road from our house, and I like to walk down there for a little solace too, to "let it go."
Looks like a lovely peaceful spot to take a stroll too! Such a fabulous take on Heather's sketch. Love your little details with the inking and stitching!!
WOW - what a beautiful place to which you can go to get it go . . . and if Anne goes with you, that makes it all the more special - great LO too - love the balloon border ~
what a lovely view Sharon. I can see why this is a favorite spot of yours. It would definitely make me feel more relaxed and at peace with the world. How lucky that you and Anne can visit here whenever you like. Your lo is a wonderful extension of the pretty photo. Great title work, as always. and I LOVE the balloons - you can send your worries and frustrations far away - tied to the string of a balloon.
This week's set of challenges for Scrapping the Music were chosen by one of my talented design team members, Linda! The song Linda picked is "Iridescent" by Linkin Park. My journaling reads as follows: "Most of the time I love my job. I can't wait to go to work because I love the interaction I have with my patients. But there are those days when everything seems to go wrong, or everyone seems to be in a bad mood. Aft the end of one of those days, I like to take a walk down our road. I am so happy that we live out in the country. My daughter, Anne, usually like to come with me. We just meander along and enjoy the scenery. Here is one of my favorite spots. By the time we walk here, all of the sadness and frustration of the day seems to be gone. I can just let it go . . ." I printed my photo on cardstock in order to get the "dreamy" feel that I wanted. **And I used Heather Landry's amazing Sketch/Temmpate #26 as the basis for my page! Such a versatile and fun sketch - thanks Heather!!!
