These are photos of Lexie from September 2009. She's at her bowl right after coming in from outside - the close up is of her white paws dyed green from the grass. Journaling says: Lexie always came in with grass stains on her feet after being outside in the freshly mown yard.
This LO turned out to be way more trouble than I anticipated for just some run-of-the-mill everyday pics. It was supposed to be for Monochrome Challenge Color 2 Gooey Ooze - with the twist to use modeling paste. I've never used modeling paste before, but I already bought some a while back. Perfect time to give it a try. Well, attempt one: the modeling paste came out great - I did this same pattern with no color - but then I tried painting the bg green. It was supposed to be somewhat sheer and messy - like grass stains, duh. What a train wreck. It was terrible, so I tore everything off the background and threw it out. Second try, I dyed the modeling paste first. I like it, but now my brown accents, which I used because there was SO much green on the first attempt, are too prominent for this to be a green monochrome. *smack forehead* SO, what I SHOULD have done was use green cs for the background instead of white, but I'm NOT doing it again! LOL On top of everything, I dropped my stirrer for the green paint on my carpeting. Overall, a fantastic experience. But, I did decide that I like to use the modeling paste :)
I used the October Monthly Sketch Challenge Week 2 sketch, and I did the twist to be messy (see above, LOL). I mixed Citrus and Bottle paints to get that shade of green and mixed it in the modeling paste.
