Give a hoot about your birthday cardmaking. A wise creative choice like this showcases the versatility of Framelits dies and matching stamps by Stephanie Barnard.
Cut kraft cardstock to size and fold to form card base. Emboss two strips of cardstock using the Swirls #3 embossing folder. Trim the two embossed papers and one strip of patterned paper to fit across the card front and adhere as shown, arranging them lightest to darkest. Die-cut an Ornate Label out of white cardstock, stamp a branch along the bottom of the label, embellish the edges of the label with glass glitter and set aside. Stamp a gift box and owl onto cardstock. Align the corresponding Framelits dies over the stamped images and die-cut. For ease of use, we recommend using a sticky note to hold the Framelits dies in place while shapes are being cut. Embellish the shapes with chalk and pen. Also die-cut a bow out of patterned paper. Layer the shapes and adhere to the label as shown, using foam dots to give the owl dimension. Also attach a ribbon bow on top of the patterned paper bow. Attach the label to the card front as shown. Stamp a sentiment along the bottom of the card front.
