wow-I really enjoyed your description; isn't it strange how LOs sometimes seem to take on a life of their own? The photo is fabulous and I love the colours you used, and the beading adds such a special touch of texture and sparkle!
HOLY SMUCKERS GRAPE JELLY!!!! This is just another stunning piece of art, my friend! I just love the beading you do on your LOs. Its a design that is completely all your own. One of these eons I'm going to have to try it on a LO; I just havent reached that comfort level yet of trying that technique. I just love looking at your LOs. There is so much to see...so inspirational! Can't wait for the next one. =)
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING>>>THIS IS A GORGEOUS LO!!!!!I THINK gold & purple looks good together LOL!You could NOT have done better~~~ I L O V E I T !!!!!!! HUGS& KISSES>>
Super fabulous LO! I love love love it! I guess I agree with the person who said that more is better. Your description of creating this LO was hilarious! I think we've all been through those mutating LOs, but this one sure turned out awesome!
So funny reading your trials and tribulations, I am glad I am not alone in that department....meaning no disrespect to your journey completing this lovely page. Amazing elements and wonderful color make for a very intriguing layout, distinctly yours!!
Gorgeous LO - love the beautiful green and purple, the beautiful gems and pieces of metal, the different textures, the flowers and that wonderful photo - and amazing work of art!
I am making a layout right now, and it has to be finished tomorrow, and the way you are telling is the way I am working. And all the time offf changing Ii think: this layout is terrible, is not gonna work, bla bla bla. And at the end, it comes out the way I want it, by changing all the time. I love your layouts, it is just the way I like them, and this one you made is superspecial, the colours fit very good!!!!This is a fav. for me.
WOWZER!! Love the purple and green mix!! Your flowers, beads and pearls are superb; love the layering behind the photo, cool feather and bits of tulle! SUPERB!
Maude Fealy, an actress from the early 1900's. It was strange, i was working on this and it all seemed so easy. Puzzled, i continued. The scroll got me, i painted it gold and purple, with some clear embossing pwder on top.I thought, huh, matches exactly, should look good. No! It got lost in the bg. So, many coats of stuff later, still blended in. Ok so i'll change the bg. I painted it gold. Then the flowers that went there before didnt work under, or on top of the scroll. I moved the scroll and had this thick gold paint and thought hah! Lets put some stuff on it! Yay, fun! And it was. Still kind of a blah page, and i thought, its getting too busy. I thought of someone recently who wrote on a page, more is better.(actually not sure if i was thinking that but it sounds right.) Lately ive been thinking, i want to be able to check off every category in the technique part of the description. I seriously doubt I'll ever get them all. After photographing the page, the photo of Maude started creeping me out, her expression seemed to change with the different pics of the page i took. Before i put more black ink in the printer, the photo had a lot of purple in it, thats why i used these colors. I put more ink in and the pic was so much better. Vintaj bead caps at upper right of Maude's photo are an idea from Reneabouquet. And, it only seemed Maudes expression was changing because i was taking pics of the lo from different angles.
