I am a Halloween freak!! I love this holiday. We are supposed to scrap something dark, and I realized that I've been working so hard for the past 4 years to get rid of the darkness in my life, that it was not an easy task!! But, when I was a little girl of 7 living in RI the teacher read the story of Ichabod Crane to us and I was mesmerized!! It has stuck with me, as a fun, creepy, spooky story that I love to read every year. I so enjoyed Johnny Depp in "Sleepy Hollow". I lifted the lo from our dear DT Jennifer Synder from her "Halloween Graveyard" reverse canvas. I also used the techniques that Renae Harrison did a tutorial to use modeling paste with the stencil provided in the kit to create the harlequin effect in the mat. I also used her cheesecloth dying technique. My fave part of the lo are the little skulls that I put on the branches of the tree near the tombstones, and the stamped and embossed black cat that stands near the pumpkin, which you can see. Lisa Novogrodski has provided me with numerous tips on how to edit my los in PS8, which I am still learning. Thank you Lisa! I'll get it down eventually. I plan to use this in a shadow box that I can display every Halloween that won't scare my little gs' to much lol!!
