Living History - July 24, 2007 - Windsor, England
JOURNALING: We had a beautiful day to explore Windsor castle. The grounds and staterooms were magnificent
SUPPLIES USED:
My Minds Eye - Union Square - Portobello Road patterned paper
Zutter distress it all
Colorbok - Antique Paperie stickers (to create the tag)
Cricut Expression / Sure Cuts A lot software
EK Success - 3/8" ribbon punch & corner rounder
1 1/2" scallop punch
Liquid Pearls - Avocado
Ranger - Sepia Ink
TPC - Graphite ink
Sizzix - Decorative Flourishes die cut
Misc supplies: Sharpie pen, ribbon, thread, chipboard letters
TECHNIQUE TIP: I love English history so of course I loved visiting Windsor Castle just outside of London. I really wanted to emphasize the history so I went with a very softly colored layout that helped to tie in the map of the castle. I distressed all the photos, my border cutout, and my chipboard letters to make it look a bit aged. I also numbered each photo & the map so I would remember where it was on the grounds that the photo was taken.

I love how you incorporated the map into the page. I went a few years ago and it was amazing to see. Your pictures really capture it well!

Nice use of the map. I did a similar thing with a LO I did of Colombia. I used number stickers for the photos that were similar to the brochure. Great minds think alike! Just gorgeous....also on my bucket novel.
