Alice, somehow I missed this layout! It's so very special!!! How beautiful! A lovely design and the memorabilia all add up to one outstanding page!!! Love it, very feminine too! (5'9" is quite tall for her generation, wow, she's lovely!)
Wow, this is absolutely beautiful. The photo is priceless and you have showecaed it perfectly. Gorgeous flower placement and I love all the little layers and details. Stunning.
Awww, this is so beauiful!! How wonderful to have such beautiful family photos... oldest daughter is like that, she is already taller than me 5'7" and she's only 14! But she has no problem wearing heals :) Love this page! xo
I'm loving the collage style of this page!! How absolutely wonderful that you have these beautiful heritage photos of your family! Beautiful job scrapping them! fave for me! love this! xo
Gorgeous page. Love the resin embellies and the frame. The certificates have certainly been looked after - you are so lucky to have them. My DD is only 14 and is 5' 10". I'm the shortie in our family. LOL
very very beautiful and endearing page you have created, and luv the frame around the darling lil foto, the touch of kiaser lakehouse looks awesome and luv the inclusion of the confirmation certificates, fave and more......xo
Love all the wonderful embellies and chippies you used, along with the beautiful flowers! What a great picture for you to have along with the certificate!
Love that you have the certificate; I have a photo of my mom on her first communion day that I've been wanting to scrap, but haven't found paper that grabbed me for it yet! Funny-Apr 13th was my mom's bday, although she wasn't born til 1933, and she was also 5'9", which WAS tall back then-she said dances were difficult because so many of the men were shorter than she was, and she liked to wear heels! LOL. Your LO is sweet and lovely, just like your mom's photo.
Wow, you even have the confirmation certificate! She was not at all awkward. Another lovely layout and I like the Christmas cards too. Have a beautiful Sunday. We have the window open here in WV!
I can relate to your Mom being so tall and feeling awkward about it. I was always the tallest person in school. At 5'10" I'm still usually the tallest female. I outgrew my 4'11" mom when I was in the 4th grade. It's a gorgeous page. I love the little light fixture to the side. Including her confirmation certificate and the book cover really makes this page special.
You have scrapped and framed the wonderful photo beautifully. The Confirmation items are gorgeous and it's so wonderful you could include them in your amazing lo.
Fabulous!! Love the gorgeous flowers, fountain and and resin pieces; awesome framing and bling! The addition of the confirmation certificate and booklet cover adds immensely to the page!! An amazing heritage page!!
Very beautiful!! Love how you have included her Confirmation cert and the front cover of the booklet!! Your flowers look so pretty as does the little cherub, and I love how you have framed the beautiful photo of your Mum....a real treasure to have. I am the same height as her, although I think I am beginning to shrink now :) Beautifully done...love it!!
So very LOVELY Alice. What a beautiful way to preserve your Mother's photo and confirmation certificate. I know I've probably said it before, but you are so LUCKY to have all these wonderful pieces of your family history and to preserve them for future generations with so much style and creativity - it's AMAZING.
very pretty photo and beautiful page! Love the fact you put confirmation cert, and cover in. The colors , flowers are beautiful,so is the cherub and and the bling, also the sunshine on the page is great!
This is a photo that was taken of my mom on the day of her confirmation - April 13, 1930. She really had lovely curly hair - not at all suited for a 1920's era bob. She was actually quite pretty and very tall for her generation - 5 feet 9 inches - but at the age of thirteen appears a bit awkward and unsure of herself.
I have included her confirmation certificate and the front cover of the lovely booklet it was in. Most of this LO was made with items from the Scraps of Elegance August Summer Haven kit.
