I am guessing this photo was taken around 1937. From left to right are dh's Uncle Kevin, Uncle Pat & his dad Francis Joseph Kelly on the right. I stamped the "meadow" directly on the photo & on the bottom of the pp & added the deer stamp because deer was their main source of protein. There were 14 children to feed & I don't believe there was a hunting "season" then. Hunting was a way of life in order to feed your family. I bought the key at a 2nd hand store & the chicken weather vane & clock are from my ancient stash. I saw the corrugated flower in a scrapbook magazine but can't remember which one. OMGosh...this is just too awesome!! LOVE the stamped meadow and fawn; the pps and colours are superb! Great framing with the burlap, flower and key...that little chicken weathervane is so cute! Outstanding job on a wonderful heritage page!!!

I am from a long line of hunters, but always cheered for the deer! Your stamping is so well done I thought it was part of the pattern of the paper! I love how you are able to accomplish so much texture in a very masculine page! Beautiful work!

What a beautiful heritage page. It's so nice that you have pictures of your dad as a boy. I think I have one. My uncle raided my grams old house and we never got to see all the goodies she had. I remember boxes stacked to the ceiling in her bedroom, old clothes in the closet, like from the 20's, and trunks full of memories. It breaks my heart to think of what he did with all that. I am loving that meadow stamp too!!! I'm going to be on the lookout for that one!!

Absolutely wonderful heritage page and amazing photo!! I love your stamping and how you used the meadow stamp, especially love the little Bambi stamp!! The corrugated flower works a treat here with the textures of the burlap!! Loved reading the description ...thank heaven we didn't carry on the traditions of large families!!
