Thames - July 24, 2007 - Windsor, England
JOURNALING: After our visit to Windsor Castle, we walked along the flooded banks of the Thames. The river was closed to all boat traffic.
SUPPLIES USED:
My Minds Eye - Union Square - Portobello Road patterned paper
Colorbok - Antique Paperie - stickers, vellum & Alpha
My Minds Eye - Follow your heart clear stamps
Pink Paislee - London Market clear stamps
Pink Paislee - Indigo Bleu clear stamps
Tim Holtz distress ink - Broken china
Liquid pearls - Plantinum Pearl
Misc supplies: Sharpie pen, ribbon, thread, dark grey paint
TECHNIQUE TIP: For some reason, I really love this soft color of aqua and have used it everywhere. What I have found is that I really don't have a lot of this color in my stash. When I was trying to find ribbons for the top and bottom, I discovered that I really only had one ribbon in the right shade of this aqua so I decided to make one for the top. I took a piece of off white muslin ribbon and stamped on it with various stamps using my distress ink (broken china). I then ran the ribbon through the ink to give it a bit more aged look and glued it on... I don't always have the perfect supplies, but normally we can all look through our stash and alter something that we have to make it right.
